A circular route, winding past mountain lakes, rivers and waterfalls to the highest summit in Wales, offering fantastic views across Snowdonia and even Ireland on a clear day!

Ascend along Watkin path via Cwm Llan Waterfalls, turning before Gladstone Rock towards Bwlch-Cwm Llan, below Yr Aran, over what can be boggy ground. A very easy, short and unexposed scramble leads atop Clogwyn Du to join the Rhyd-Ddu Path. Care should be taken here in high wind but the summit approach broadens out.

Descend using the Miners Track past Llyn Llydaw, offering stunning views over its waters. Refreshments may be found at Pen-y-Pass peak times before following the Afon Glaslyn, providing a peaceful stroll to end. Though if a swimmer bobs past expect to be entertained!
