Update (Sept 2022): The trail is passing and colliding with Hatta MTB trails (Mountain Bike). There may be bikers rushing in the trail. So Recommended not to follow this.
Hatta is so beautiful after the rainy days..
There are plenty of trail in Hatta, which you can access from the Hatta wadi hub.. However we did this trail which is accessible nearby the Suhailah lake..
Suhailah lake is located between the Oman border and Hatta wadi hub.. There are resting shades suitable for camping, barbecuing but having NO washrooms.. The trail is starting close to the lake.. There is well laid path which is basically easy to follow, but we deviated here and there, bypassed some areas, took some climbs etc. and made it like an Easy Plus one..
The trail we did is mix of Blue, Red and Black (In Hatta, the trails are color codded as per their difficulty levels).. The elevation gain is minimal and gradual up to Photo-6 point and then sudden gain to the summit point..
While descending you have some intersection points, an oryx conservation center and couple of lakes to pass before reaching back to suhailah lake..
Points to note:
- Mobile network is available almost over the trail
- There may be MTB riders in the trail so please be careful
- You can make your own ways by altering but make sure not to get lost!
- Trail starting point is accessible with sedan cars
- Keep enough water / electrolytes etc. according to the climate
- NO LITTERING PLEASE
