Vägbeskrivning
The country estate and Huis Verwolde are located near the village of Laren (prov. Gelderland). The amazing surroundings tempted me to return after a special visit to Huis Verwolde with its fascinating stories, a week earlier.
So on a sunny Sunday at the start of November we started out on a hike around the country estate and neighbouring lands and fields.
The hike crosses a diversity of landscapes, with fens, open fields, tree-lined lanes, farmsteads with interesting features (e.g. yellow green shutters), woodland, pine forests etc.
The photos give you a good idea (esp. in autumn mood).
If you like rhododendrons, then this is also the place to be when they are in full bloom around May. At regular intervals you pass enormous bushes.
All in all, a rewarding walk in a quiet area.
