The name of this point, meaning “Hunter’s Leap”, alludes to the following tale: “…there are two rock capitals facing each other, separated only by an abyss of a few fathoms, which is said to have
once been only about 5 feet. Centuries… have broadened and eaten away this crevice… . Legend has it that a poacher pursued by a hunter dared the dangerous leap across the abyss. In view of the draconic laws prosecuting poachers in those days, this saved both his freedom and his life. I`d rather call this gruesome abyss `Poacher´s Leap´.”
