Since the weather was getting cooler, we decided to kick off our first family hike of the season in Jebel Jais. Knowing it would be cooler at higher elevations, I chose a familiar route: a trek up to the stairs near Wassab village.

Easy to Follow Trail:
The well-marked path made the hike perfect for all experience levels. From the trailhead, it's a straightforward 1.5 kilometers to Wassab village, a charming settlement with a few houses, friendly goats, and donkeys.
Wassab Stairs & Viewing Deck:
After passing Wassab village, the trail splits, offering a detour to the Wassab stairs and the Viewing Deck Park. We took the left fork towards the stairs and returned on the same path.
Safe & Family-Friendly:
This is a very safe trail, perfect for beginners, especially during the cooler months
