Vägbeskrivning

Neawha Park and adjacent Catella Park cover a 115-acre area near downtown Oneonta. Most of the park is open sports fields, skate park, picnic shelters and a playground. Mill Race creek borders two sides of the park and interstate I-88 runs along the south side.

This 1.7-mile Neawha-Catella perimeter loop trail follows the creek east along a bike path, passes under Lettis Highway then loops around Catella soccer fields back to the highway at a light. Back in Neawha Park, the trail enters a 5-acre woods, crosses open lawns beside soccer and baseball fields back to Mill Race creek, returning through scenic woods on the north side of the park. The loop trail connects to the Oneonta Susquehanna Greenway at both ends, and there are proposed connections to the future City of the Hills trail. This route exists as a series of unmarked segments in Neawha Park and Catella Park but needs signs to make the public more aware of it.

There is also a slightly shorter 1.4-mile option that does not include Catella Park: https://www.wikiloc.com/walking-trails/oneonta-neawha-park-perimeter-loop-50317523.
