Wadi Bih Course

The Wadi Bih Race, held each February, followed this course in 2011. As a solo runner in the race, the out-and-back route is challenging, mostly because of the distance and ascent since the trail is well made and easy to follow. Apart from the few hardy solo runners, the race is a relay with teams of five runners and involves 1,000 metres of ascent on rough wadi roads. The scenery is spectacular and this fine event definitely qualifies as a "good day out". Race route is out and back, 72 km or 45 miles in total and race organisation is excellent. Highly recommended.
