Desde Zermat se toma el telecabina Seilbahn hasta el final, y desde aquí por senderos fáciles se siguen las indicaciones hasta el refugio Hutte Matterhorn. No hay dificultad en la ruta, quizá la altura si no se está aclimatado. Espectaculares vistas del Matterhorn y del Macizo del Monte Rosa.
